Karen came to know the Lord in February 1988 as the result of a tragic car accident that nearly took her life. From that point forward she never questioned that God had a purpose for her life, because He was the one who so graciously spared it.
The past 18 years have been quite a journey with the Lord, both personally and professionally. Karen is the single mother of two, Tiffanie (24) and Patrick (16). She worked as a Criminal Paralegal for 11 years prior to relocating to Tucson, AZ to complete a B.A. in Communication from the University of Arizona. With aspirations of going to law school, she experienced a complete paradigm shift professionally as the Lord moved her into the areas of sales, marketing and business development.
Her new career path began as an Account Executive for a local Christian radio station where she had the opportunity to develop skills in customer service and creating strategic marketing plans. From there she was asked to join the team at Family Life Communications, Inc., headquartered in Tucson, AZ, as the National Promotions Coordinator for the Women of Virtue (WOV) conference ministry. This opportunity afforded her the privilege of working with local and national media, as well as nationally and internationally known Christian speakers and musicians. Other aspects of this position included the initial branding and positioning of WOV; coordinating, implementing and managing yearly marketing strategies and media campaign tactical plans; conceptualizing and producing yearly promotional campaigns and marketing collateral; managing yearly mailings; working with various vendors in developing new product ideas; as well as working with the Community Connection Network teams around the country. After departing from FLC, Karen spent the past few years as the Business Development Manager for a very successful multi-unit restaurant and its catering division developing yet another whole new set of skills in networking and operations.
To compliment her skill set, acquired over the years on the job, she is in the throes of working on her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing. As the VP of Sales & Marketing, Karen brings the value of her professional and educational experiences to Lloyd Marketing Group, Inc.
