Pastor Rick Leis is the Senior Pastor at Desert Chapel Vineyard, and has been in the ministry since 1976. Pastor Leis also was the president of R&M Enterprises, in Santa Barbara, California -- a large wholesale and retail business, and later, became a consultant for an international conglomerate. Pastor Leis was also an associate pastor at Melodyland Christian Center and attended graduate programs at both Concordia Lutheran Seminary, and Oral Roberts Seminary. Pastor Leis was the President/Coordinator for Southwest Minister's Conference, President of Tucson Association of Evangelicals for several terms and founded the Coalition of Prayer Network. The Coalition has begun the second semester of the School of Prayer that is design specifically to mentor intercessors. In the fall of 2003 the Coalition will start an extension in Phoenix for intercessors. The Coalition's goal is to instruct, lead, and encourage intercessors to become more of a synergistic tool in their congregations, as well as partner with other intercessors throughout their cities. Rick has been involved in Reconciliation between the first people's (native Americans), he has also done extensive "Prayer expeditions", and strategies all over the southwest and China.
Rick is married to Marilyn, and they have six children ranging from 36 to 3 years of age. Rick and Marilyn's oldest children are married. The oldest children are all involved in ministry. The younger children are from China.
