Roy Tullgren has served as the Executive Director and Pastor of Gospel Rescue Mission since December 2000. Prior to that, he served in the Gospel Rescue Mission staff position of Community Relations Director for 2 years. Roy’s involvement with Gospel Rescue Mission began in 1986, when he was elected to its Board of Directors. He was serving as President of the board when God called him to serve on staff November 1998.
Roy has been involved in non-profit agency management since 1976, which includes 12 years as Executive Director of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tucson mentoring agency and 7 years as an administrator with a private Christian school. He has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Arizona and has additional Master’s level work in Counseling and Guidance.
Roy serves on several local boards, community tasks forces, commissions, and has held various professional leadership positions. He has been a speaker at national and district conferences and has served as a consultant to non profit organizations throughout the country.
Roy has lived in Tucson since 1964 and is married to Cathy. They have 2 adult children and one grandchild.
