Born and educated through college (Univ. of Texas-Austin) in Texas, Don entered the business world in 1973 by touring the globe from Athens, Greece to Acapulco, Mexico with the American Water Show as a professional high diver for three years winning seven world titles. Returning to San Antonio to a family business of real estate development, Don started his current twenty-two year real estate career under his father before joining Mitchell Energy & Development Corp of The Woodlands, TX. in 1979. Don ventured out from the Corporate 500 world to lead his own projects, which have taken him to most of the major cities of Texas and into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He has developed land, built homes, restored a historical mountain resort, bought and sold residential and commercial properties as well as several businesses including a seven-store dry cleaning and laundry business based here in Tucson. Before coming to Arizona in 1995 and shortly after marrying his lovely wife Carolyn, also a Texas native, Don “Experienced God” in the early 80’s while attending Castle Hills First Baptist Church in San Antonio. There he was encouraged to “look around and see what God is doing and get in on it”. From Torchbearers International & Promise Keepers to the Jesus Video Project, which Don helped organize in San Antonio, God has led Don to take responsibilities in leadership with Citywide events and projects which are designed to bring glory to Jesus Christ.

In 2000, Don reentered the real estate investment business part time to be able to devote much of his energy to ministry as the Executive Director of Mission Tucson. After teaming up with Luis Palau for the Tucson Festival 2000 event, Don has since been involved in facilitating the Good Friday Breakfast, the Tucson Festival of Hope, ATREVT, Jobs Partnership, the Jesus Video Project of Pima County, the Angel Tree Project, the Tucson Association of Evangelicals, and “The Christian Connection” of Good News Tucson. Don, Carolyn, and their four children, Courtnay, Christopher, Cally, and Maggie, attend Casas Church and live in Oro Valley.
