This year, Tucson’s very own Zoo has many exciting events planned that you won’t want to miss.
Here’s a few:
Valentine’s Day Special Event – February
14, 2008
Do a little “Woo at the Zoo” while enjoying some "Creature" comforts
with your loved one. Join the Tucson Zoological Society (TZS) for the First
Annual Valentine's Dinner. There will be two seatings for couples who like
to dine on the Wild side. Price includes a discussion by animal experts on
the mating behaviors of wild animals, a deluxe buffet and interactive displays
that will keep you guessing as to who really is the King of the Jungle.
Mother’s Day Dinner – May 11, 2008
Join the TZS for a special Mother's Day at the Zoo! Avoid the crowded brunches
and stuffy restaurants - stroll leisurely through lush surroundings while
viewing the animals. Then pick up your keepsake cooler packed with a picnic
dinner and a blanket. After dinner, enjoy watching the kids make a special
Mom's day craft. There will be fun games and entertainment and special
gifts just for mom. One lucky mom will win a fabulous door prize just for
visiting the zoo on her special day.
Father’s Day BBQ – June 15, 2008
Tired of getting Dad that same old cologne or funky tie? Then bring him to
the zoo on Father’s Day and let his wild side come out! There will
be monster truck & dragster displays, BBQ-ing and Power Tool demos,
and live entertainment to bring out the animal in him. Kids and dads can
make a wood craft, get their faces painted or get their photo taken with
Leo the Lion! A picnic BBQ dinner in a take-home cooler is included. Dad
even has the chance to win a new BBQ grill!
MonZOOn Magic
A summer concert & movies series
Fridays
(May 30th – July 25th)
The TZS brings you Hot Times in the Cool ZOO! On Fridays through the summer
months, the Reid Park Zoo will be home to our first ever MonZOOn Summer Series.
Come enjoy live musical acts or private viewings of your favorite animated
movies. There will be animal encounters, photos with Leo and MORE!
