WOMAN'S HEALTH
I recently received an e-mail with this title.
Many of you may have already seen something like this. This is in no way intended to disrespect those folks who do have ADD or similar conditions. It actually tells us that we are more alike than different!! This is not a true diagnosis but a lot of us have the symptoms. If you can identify, it may make you laugh. If you can't, you are more organized than I am. If you are offended, I apologize ahead of time.
The manifestation of AAADD comes when we decide on one action which in turn causes us to zig-zag into rabbit trails of unproductive activity.
Story of one sufferer of AAADD:
One sunny day, I decided to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose, I notice how dirty my car is and decide to wash it.
As I go the garage, I notice the mail I had put on the porch.I decide to open the mail before I wash the car.
I put my car keys on the table. While throwing away the junk mail, I notice the waste basket is full. I put the bills on the table and go to empty the trash.
Since I will be going near the mailbox when I take the trash out, I might as well pay the bills. I realize I only have one check left. My extra checks are in the desk in another room so I go to get them. On the desk is the cup of coffee I had been drinking. As I look for the checks, I think I better move that coffee so it doesn't spill. Since it is cold and still half full I decide to take it to the kitchen so I can reheat it later.
As I walk to the kitchen, I notice one of the plants is droopy and needs watered. I put the coffee on the counter and find my glasses that I had been looking for. I decide to put the glasses back on my desk but first I better water that plant. I put the glasses back down on the counter. As I start to put the plant back, I notice the TV remote on the dining room table. I better put that by the TV so we will know where it is. As I pick it up with the plant in my other hand I trip over the shoes that were not put away and drop the plant.
So I put the remote back on the table, go the laundry room, get the broom and clean up the dirt.
I head back down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do……….
At the end of the day, the driveway is flooded, the car is still dirty, the bills aren't paid, and the coffee is still cold. There is still only one check in my checkbook, I can't find my remote, I can't find my glasses and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
I wonder why I am tired. I really got nothing done. I know I was busy.
I need organizational help! But first I will check my e-mail...
