I appreciate it when people invite me to attend something…whether it's a meeting or a fun event. It feels good to be included and invited.

I'm especially grateful when God invites me to participate in doing something with Him. I guess that's why I like being at Gospel Rescue Mission so much. I get to see God work first hand changing lives, meeting needs, and answering prayers. I admit that I don't often think I'm worthy to be included in His compassionate ministry at the Mission. I guess that makes it even more special to me in that He chooses to include me. WOW - what a privilege!

As much as I like reaping the blessings that come along with being here, I also know that I need to share these blessings with others. So, I invite YOU to participate with God at the Mission in serving the least, the last, and the lost of our community. There are many volunteer opportunities and other ways you could become involved in His work at the Mission. You may come to give of yourself to others, but trust me…you'll get much more out of it than you give…you will be blessed! I also want to invite you to join in the efforts to expand the Women and Children's Center. We are turning away 5 to 25 women a day because we are out of available beds and rooms. Recently we purchased a transitional home that will allow us to free up some beds and to help the women and children in their transition back into the community. We are also in escrow on a much larger facility that will double the number of women and children in both the shelter and the long term recovery and restoration programs.
