New Location for La Paloma Academy
Southern Arizona's Largest Charter Continues Growth
La Paloma Academy Midtown is movin’ out and movin’ up! The school
has officially signed the lease for a brand new Midtown campus at the site
of the former Palo Verde Christian Church & School, located at 2151 N.
Palo Verde Blvd. The new location will offer more space both indoors and
outdoors, in addition to allowing the school to increase enrollment.
Only minutes away from Midtown’s current location at 225 N. Country Club Rd., La Paloma Academy Midtown will kick off the fall 2008 school year at the new campus. The site will more than double the number of students the Midtown campus is able to accept, increasing its enrollment to 300 students. La Paloma Academy Midtown is also joining the Central and Lakeside campuses by expanding its grade levels to kindergarten through 8th grade. Midtown formally only offered enrollment through 6th grade.
“We are thrilled to bring La Paloma Academy’s Midtown campus to this new location. It allows us to bring our award-winning education to more students in a larger building that offers more facilities for students to utilize. Our plan to move came together at the right time and we can’t wait for the 2008 school year to start,” said Raena Janes, founder of La Paloma Academy.
Located on 10+ acres of land, the new La Paloma Academy Midtown campus will boast more classrooms, an outdoor playground, indoor gymnasium and sports facilities and full-sized outdoor playing fields and basketball court.
La Paloma Academy is the fastest-growing and largest charter school system in Southern Arizona. The school has over 1300 students enrolled in three campuses throughout Tucson. The school’s foundation is education with individualized instruction, incorporation of extra curricular activities and emphasis on the importance of family, community values and physical fitness - things students will be able to carry with them through adulthood.
