A God of Second Chances: Clint and Penny Bragg
Clint and Penny married in 1989 and immediately got involved in their small
local church. Things started going south a year later after a short-term
mission trip to Haiti. Both new believers, the trip was particularly hard
on Penny, who was overwhelmed by the poverty and need.
Upon returning, the couple began to disconnect. An affair ultimately led
to the demise of this once storybook marriage.
Eleven years later, God prompted Penny to contact Clint. During that eleven year period, both had struggled with their faith and had come back to the Lord. Finding Clint proved to be a challenge. He had moved from Northern California to Florida. Three months after her first letter, apologizing for the past, they decided to meet face to face, at a neutral spot halfway between their homes.
There they'd settle if they could put their marriage back together. They met in Denver on Memorial Day weekend, 2002.

Clint says when he saw Penny step off the jetway, "It was as if 11 years had never happened." By the last night of their time together, Clint asked Penny to marry him - again, and she accepted. Clint returned to Florida, sold his house, and moved to California. In August 2002 - eleven years after they'd divorced-he and Penny were married for the second -and final-time.
Now, each year, they embark on several 40-Day Marriage Ministry Mission Trips across the United States to minister to couples through churches and other ministry organizations. Through the work of Inverse Ministries, they share their testimony of reconciliation and challenge believers to be reconciled to God, then to one another.
Their story of reconciliation has been featured on CBN's The 700 Club, RBC Ministries Words to Live By Radio Program, and Christianity Today's Marriage Partnership Magazine.
Clint and Penny currently serve as leaders for The Association of Marriage and Family's (AMFM) Reconciling Troubled Marriages Ministry Team as well as being an active part of the Ask the Experts Panel of Christianity Today's BuildingChurchLeaders.com.
On Friday, May 2, 7-9 PM & Saturday, May 3, 9 AM - 12 PM Clint and Penny will be sharing their story at Pantano Christian Church, 10355 E. 29th. The event is FREE and child care will be available.
For more information, call Christy at 298-5395.
The public is invited to come and hear Clint and Penny’s story and discover how their story of reconciliation and a healthy marriage can become yours, too.
