Let’s Celebrate!

My uplifting and inspiring song for August is one I rediscovered, thanks to my 7-year-old son, Jeremy:

"Celebration” by Kool & The Gang. No, I am not celebrating my kids going back to school this month, although that could be appropriate, too! I had forgotten this song until a couple of years ago, when we took my son to an amusement park for his birthday. Thanks to the big “Happy Birthday” sticker he was wearing everyone knew it was his day.

One of the park characters wished Jeremy “Happy Birthday” and invited him to dance with them to “Celebration”. He believed they chose the song for him because it was his birthday. I chose it for this article because it’s a happy, upbeat and fun song that puts me in a great mood and makes me want to dance and sing.
