Pray Over Tucson!

As a part of Tucson’s Birthday Celebration, Community Renewal and the Meth-Free Alliance will host an Inter-Faith Prayer Walk on August 23rd from 7-9 a.m. at A Mountain Sentinel Peak).

The Prayer Walk will be a time to acknowledge the work of God in our community. The event organizers hope this will be a time for the faith community to humble themselves before God and ask for His help and favor as people pray about the problems confronting our city.

During the Prayer Walk, members of the community will gather for a time of unity and prayer, praying for resolution of the divisive problems affecting Tucson and Pima County. A Mountain has been a sacred site for 4000 years and is emblematic of the many cultures and faiths that have sought spiritual guidance and renewal through prayer.

Churches and community members of all ages are invited to participate in this important event.  Come out and represent your church, your denomination and the legacies of your faith in this Inter-Faith Prayer Walk.
Last year the event was attended by nearly 200 people. For more information on this year’s event, please contact Linda Leatherman at 243-6780 or lleatherman@pima.gov.
