December is here! Christmas is once again around the corner. Time is flying by; the New Year in knocking. Seems like 2007 just got here for some of us and 2008 is only days away! Do you have your plans on where to spend the 31st of 2007?
New Year's Eve is the biggest and grandest party of the year. Maybe you classify yourself as a stay at home person - the quiet kind. You might even be someone who used to go out on New Year's Eve but doesn't want to run with the rookies anymore. It could be that you may never have ventured out on New Year's Eve. Whatever category best fits you this is your year to make a change!
Tucson Jazz Society is offering two options to ring in the New Year. Enjoy the star-studded lineup and music this New Year on the 30th or 31st of December with many package options. Tucson Jazz Society's year long 30th anniversary celebration comes to a climactic finish with the 2007 New Year's Jazz Gala Weekend held at the JW Marriott Star Pass Resort and Spa (3800 W.Starr Pass Blvd., Tucson).
Do you still enjoy good music but late nights are not any fun anymore or you just enjoy staying or being home at night. Take a good look at the Legends Brunch Sunday December 30th 2007. The Gala Weekend kicks off at 11:30 AM with a Sunday Champagne Brunch.
The Legends of Jazz All Stars are scheduled to perform. The lineup features Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, Patrice Rushen, David Bromberg, and Brian Bromberg. Special guests include Paul Horn, Brice Winston, and Maurice Brown. The event starts after church and runs from 11:30 - 2:30PM. An excellent choice for those who want to be a part of the New Year but want to be home in the evening or night. Then again there are those who want to dine and dance the night away or even make it a get away.
Monday, December 31st 2007, TJS will hold the New Year's Eve Jazz All Stars Gala at the JW Marriott Star Pass Resort and Spa. The evening is loaded with something for everyone: dinner, dancing, great music, and great a place to stay.
The night kicks off with a five-course dinner at 7:30PM. The music starts at 8:15PM with the Jazz All Stars show featuring Brian Bromberg, Rick Braun, Marion Meadows, Jeff Lorber, Paul Jackson JR, and Joel Taylor. Then, if you are looking to let your hair down and dance the night away around 10PM the various New York R&B/ Jazz Funk artists will be kicking out the dance groove.
Artists like Cindy Bradley, Yaz Takagi, Eric J Smith, John Geralds, and Tomoaki Kanno will be providing the beat to swing, sway and dance the year away. As the night rolls on guests have the option of staying the night with the resort. If you plan on making a full night of it and staying, book ahead - they are planning on selling out the evening.
Ring in the New Year with the Tucson Jazz Society 2007 New Years Jazz Gala Weekend this December 30th-31st at the JW Marriott Star Pass Resort and Spa. Thank you Tucson Jazz Society for thirty years of good music in Tucson.
