Change: Good Luck ... or, Bad Luck?
Do not judge a man/woman until you have walked a mile with their spouse, spine, kids, car job, house, underwear and/or shoes.
There once was a wise old man who lived with his son on a farm with only one horse to pull the plow. One day the horse ran away. “How terrible,” sympathized the neighbors. “What bad luck.”
“Who knows
whether it is bad luck or good luck?” the farmer said. A week
went by and the horse returned from the mountains, leading five wild mares
into the barn.
“What wonderful luck!” exclaimed the neighbors.
“Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows?” answered the old man.
The next day his son broke his leg trying to tame one of the wild horses.
“How terrible. What bad luck,” said the neighbors.
“Bad luck? Good luck?” the farmer stated again.
The next day the army came to all the farms and took all the young men for
war. They passed over the farmer’s son because he was no use to them.
Good luck or bad? You answer the question.
At Passover we remember that in the Old Testament the Jews were enslaved in Egypt and thought, “how bad”. Then the Lord freed them, forever glorifying the power of God. This was good.
At Easter we remember that in the New Testament, Jesus died and his followers thought, “how bad”. Then he was raised and was glorified. This was good.
Easter is a time of change. Jesus made the biggest change the world has ever seen 2007 years ago. And he continues to make these changes. Think about how your health has changed? Years ago you had an iron stomach; today a glass of milk gives you heartburn. What changed? Years ago you never had an allergy, today you take a prescription and a multitude of over the counter drugs. What changed? In the passed you never had headaches, now you get them 3 to 5 days a week. What changed? Before you could sleep like a rock, now your lucky to sleep 4 hours. What changed? Years ago you could take a deep breath, now the only deep breath you take is with your asthma inhaler. What changed? What other problems have just popped up that you cannot explain. Something had to have changed!
Tomorrow you may have an accident and hurt your back. WHAT BAD LUCK! So you go to the Chiropractor because you heard that they only help with back pain. But while under care you find out that the allergies you were suffering with over the last 10 years have improved. You hear all the patients in the office laughing and talking with each other (Something that never occurs in the medical office) about their headaches clearing up, their asthma improving, sleeping better, no longer suffering from GERD (heartburn 15 years ago), dizziness clearing up, people who canceled their surgery because their disk problem improved, people with more seizures in a year than there are days in the year saying that they have only had 4 in the last 6 months. WHAT CHANGED FOR THESE PEOPLE? With all this going on you find out that God was giving you a wake-up call that there can be another way to treating the problems that are going on rather than taking drugs to mask the symptoms. You find out that there has been something going on with the nervous system that was causing years of poor body function. You bring in your son who suffers from asthma. He can now play soccer something he never was able to do before. WHAT GOOD LUCK!
Our landlord wants to sell the building we are in. WHAT BAD LUCK! But we found a bigger more convenient office to move to. With this office we will be better suited to help more Tucsonans and offer more services to our patients. Our new location is located at 888 South Craycroft Road Suite 100 at 19th Street which is only 4 blocks north of 22nd Street. And we are looking to open there on April 2, 2007 WOW! WHAT REALLY GOOD LUCK! We will still have the same phone number if you try to reach us 298-4999. We have found that change has always worked out to be good luck in our lives.
ITS ALL GOOD! IT’S ALL GOOD!
