Wallbuilders Founder David Barton Comes To Tucson by Denise King
Catalina Foothills Church at 2150 E. Orange Grove Rd., will host David Barton, founder and president of WallBuilders, to discuss "Was America Ever a Christian Nation?" Monday, June 4th at 7:00 p.m.
Barton will share the truth about our nation's religious roots and the role individuals can play in reclaiming our spiritual heritage. He will also empower the audience to share the truth with other people.
WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation upon which America was built.
The name WallBuilders goes back to the Old Testament book of Nehemiah, when the nation of Israel rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem through a grass-roots effort. Psalm 11:3 says, "If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?"
WallBuilders' goal is to "exert a direct and positive influence in government, education, and the family by 1. educating the nation concerning the Godly foundation of our country, 2. providing information to federal, state, and local officials as they develop public policies that reflect Biblical values, and 3. encouraging Christians to be involved in the civic arena."
Barton, who lives in Texas with his wife, Cheryl, and three children, has received numerous awards including Who's Who honors, two Angel Awards for excellence in media, and the George Washington Honor Medal. He has spoken to state legislatures and has written briefs in cases at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Partners for the event include: Center for Arizona Policy, Desert Christian Schools, Family Life Radio, Good News Radio Broadcasting, Good News Tucson Magazine, and Pusch Ridge Christian Academy.
Tickets are $5.00 each with a maximum of $15.00 per family. Order tickets no later than June 1st by calling 1-800-FAMILY-1 or at www.azpolicy.org. For more information, visit www.wallbuilders.com.
