Summer is here, and Tucson youth are ready for a vacation! We've studied hard all year, and now it is time to have some fun in the sun!

I went to the Foothills Mall and asked students what they were doing for summer vacation. Here is what they said:

Jessica J., 7th grade,
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy
"I am going to Kanakuk Kamps in Colorado. It's a Christian sports camp for kids. I'm looking most forward to playing basketball."
Adam S., 9th grade,
San Manuel High School
"I am most likely going to visit some family and friends in Mexico."
Daniella B., 4th grade,
St. Josephs School
"I am going to a summer sports camp in East Tucson."
Jamie L., 9th grade,
Mountain View High School
"I am looking forward to getting my permit and going to camp."
Chris M., 6th grade,
Hendricks Elementary School
"We haven't really planned much yet, but we are probably going on a few vacations. We are definitely going fishing at Lake Powell in California."
Melissa C., 9th grade,
Pestalozzi School, Sonora, Mexico
"I don't know exactly, yet, but I am probably going to Maui to visit some friends, and to summer camp, but I'm not for sure which camp yet."

As you can see, going to camp is a popular summer destination! If you have not made summer camp plans, here are some places in town to check out:

I hope that you have a fun-filled summer vacation!
