I had a day dream once where I saw myself driving down the road. I was trying to get somewhere I had never been before and was determined not to look at my map. At first, I was stubborn and got lost (not that any of you men can relate!). Then I was slightly less stubborn and asked for help. In the end, I read and relied entirely on the map to get to where I was going, and of course finally found my way.

God has made it possible for us to find the way to where we are going. Let’s look at a few of the “signs” God gives us to help guide us through all our flaws and weaknesses into success.

The Bible. Psalm 119:105 says: “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” The Bible is a book of wisdom for your life. If you pick up any of the “study” translations you will find that there are a lot of tools to help you unpack the meaning within the scriptures and help you apply them to your every day living.

The Holy Spirit. John 14:26 says; “However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.” Life is full of many twists and turns. Even some “hurry-up and waits”. But do you recognize God in the process? We must not judge what to do by our circumstances or depend on others to tell us what to do. Let the Bible and the Holy Spirit to guide us!

The bottom line is that God has made a way for us to know the right thing to do. Are you looking to Him? Are you recognizing the signs? We always need to lay our plans at the feet of Jesus, and we find Him in the Word of God and through His Holy Spirit!
