Let’s face it. Marriages – even the best ones – are a challenge at times. Marriage is a forever commitment most of us enter into with idealistic views and often ill-prepared. So we strive to make it work. No, more than that, we strive to make it successful. But how?

There are hundreds of worthwhile seminars available; however, many of them are overly serious and intimidate men. In the words of a husband, “why do men need a seminar to tell them to be more sensitive and better listeners? Their wives already do it enough!” And wives? It’s probably safe to say most don’t want to have to drag their husbands somewhere to invest in the marriage. Where’s the encouragement in that?

So what makes the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar different? Unlike many traditional seminars, Mark Gungor’s Laugh Your Way seminar helps couples deal with the tough issues in a way that is fun and not emotionally taxing. According to Pantano Christian Church Executive Pastor Roger Blumenthal, “Mark Gungor has a fresh, creative, entertaining gift of communicating hope and passion to couples that encourages us to want better marriages. As I have used his materials with couples in a variety of settings, the response is the same….they all want to hear more.”

Mark Gungor, a senior pastor in Green Bay, Wisconsin, uses laughter to make men look good while still making women feel valuable and wanted. Tedd and Lori Virnig, who attended the Laugh Your Way seminar during a marriage conference last year, whole-heartedly agree. “Mark is engaging and entertaining!  He really makes you think about yourself and the way you view your spouse, but he does it in such a lighthearted way that you feel uplifted instead of discouraged.”

“The seminar was an awesome reflection of the impact Mark has on couples…Mark has captured the essence of our [husbands’ and wives’] differences,” shares Rose Mardula of Tucson.

During this two-day seminar, Mark will explore the differences between men and women in “The Tale of Two Brains,” and he will help couples understand each other in “Why Does He/She Do That??” In his final two sessions, Mark will share “The #1 Key to Incredible Sex” and “How to Stay Married and NOT Kill Anybody.”

The Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar will be hosted by Pantano Christian Church on Friday, October 12th, 7-10p.m. and Saturday, October 13th, 9a.m.-12:30p.m. For more information, to see a video clip, and to register, check out www.pccwired.org/events.
