by Ann Ziegler

Country music fans, get ready! The 2007 KiiM-FM Country Music Festival is set to hit Tucson Electric Park's Soccer Fields on Saturday, September 22nd featuring some of country's finest. Now in its sixth year, this year's festival is sure to be a blast!

Taking the stage will be Neal McCoy; McCoy’s shows are known to be family-friendly, with songs that encourage, inspire and make you want to smile. His country sounds mixed with a dash of R&B has won him fans since he started in the business in the early '80's.

Another country music icon, Clay Walker, will also be appearing at the festival. Walker will perform hits from his latest CD, Fall.

Rising country stars Trent Tomlinson, Luke Bryan and Cindy Standage will also perform.

The festival will feature two winners from KiiM FM's "Sing Your Way Onstage" karaoke contest that will be held at Chuy's on Tanque Verde in early September. Contest winners will perform in between acts.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. and pre-event tickets cost $15. Tickets purchased on the day of the concert will cost $30. Children 10 and under are free with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased at Catalina Mart locations throughout Tucson or online at www.gettix.net.
